i guess nothing new and exciting has happened since october....

vivi spent her first christmas in toronto with crazy italians. she has learned how to devour lasagna and pasta!!! very italian this girl is when she eats. stoic stare at food, robotic like in her movements, she continuosly pinches some food and brings it to her mouth.

she also has learned how to crawl up stairs like a pro, and down stairs like a sleepy drunk.

and she is a pointer. one of her favorite activities is to have someone pick her up, then she will point to an item of interest, and the adult should walk over to the item. she loves the control (damn her mother's genes!!) and points points points.

when eating, she will point to her water or other foods of interest. we label continuously using single words paired with sign language.....point point point.

Grandma Kathy bought Vivi her first earrings and piercing! Vivi was a champ, I was a wreck...

bath time, 7 months old

seven months seems a lot like six months. huh, and people say babies grow up so fast.

vivi updates:

she likes her food like she likes her men, hot and mushy...

in the morning, she will sit in her bed quietly waiting for someone to notice her and pick her up

at night she will sit in her bed and wail at window shaking volumes until the neighbors notice her

she has amazing amazing care from 2 amazing sisters while we are at work...amazing

we are afraid to take her out of the house because of swine flu...is that overprotective or smart prevention? don't answer that.

she has a quick and ravenous shark bite that friggin hurts. i have been on the phone and screamed into the ears of listeners as she is going in for some blood and i am trying to prevent her from biting without hurting her (too much)

she misses her granny winnie...

she is annoyed by three dots in a row...

vivi is crawling, and playing, and eating, and refusing to go to bed. when she stops crying at night, she is sleeping in a sitting position swaying back and forth. quite maddening..

nolan continues to be an AMAZING brother, and is now taller than nonna trish.

so i have not updated in a month. shoot mia hamm. vivi was baptized. she is crawling around and picking up fuzz from the carpet. she is about to go for her 6 month visit! 6 months means....REAL FOOD...hold on ...this just in, it will only be rice cereal! no sugar, no maple syrup, no raspberries, no jimmie deans sausage patties, just plain ole rice blech cereal...
